Millstream Crossing: Lexington, South Carolina

Stacy E. Domingo

“Lexington is one of the fastest growing cities in the country. There is lots of new construction, both commercial and residential, along U.S. Highway 378,” says Patrick Godwin, sales counselor for KB Home in this central South Carolina county.

KB Home, the top builder in Lexington County, has taken advantage of the building boom, achieving great success in communities such as Millstream Crossing, located off Corley Mill Road.

“It is one of the last great locations to get close to Columbia,” Godwin adds. “You are close to downtown and Lake Murray, and, most important, you’re in the award-winning Lexington District 1 school district.”

A counselor with KB Home for three years, Godwin has worked in the Millstream Crossing office since its opening, and he’s played a huge role in helping people find the home of their dreams.

“One hundred thirty-six homes are planned for this community, and I’ve helped sell most of them. The residents love it here just as I do,” he says. The homes range in size from 1,538 feet to 2,825 square feet, with prices starting at $147,990. One- and two-story homes offer a choice of eight floor plans with three to six bedrooms. Each plan includes two to four-and-a-half baths, a two-car garage and KB Home’s 10-year limited warranty.

Millstream Crossing features large, open floor plans with many windows, large kitchens and lots of closet space. The sliding doors are made of tempered safety glass, there are Delta faucets throughout and optional fireplaces and covered front porches are available.

The homes at Millstream Crossing are beautiful inside and the same theme is followed outside. With 30 to 40 feet between homes, the wooded lots provide privacy and enhance the charm of the neighborhood.

Godwin says at Millstream Crossing, “No two homes are ever alike.” Home buyers can visit the KB Home showroom to personalize their homes. “This neighborhood is great for newlyweds who are just starting out, as well as for retirees who have a little more time and money to invest in what they want. It works for all types of buyers,” Godwin says.
